Miranda’s New Ride

It all started with a play date at Katya’s. Jeff had bought a new bike for Katya at the local Police auction and Miranda found it and took it for a ride. It is a Columbia Sweet Daisy 12 speed, pink, with 16 inch wheels. Miranda thought the hand brake was the greatest thing ever and asked if she could get a bike with them. When we came home she was still going on about it. Simon first wanted to see her on it and wanted to know the particulars (size, etc.) of it. The next day we went back and I took pics of it and a video of Miranda riding it to show him. Later that day we went to a number of bike shops window shopping and trying out bikes. We found out a 20 inch wheel bike was her size and we managed to find a couple at Russ Hayes. They took out name and number because they were expecting a couple of other styles in the same size. Today Simon figured that the last time we got her a bike (for Christmas) things didn’t work out the best: she didn’t know how to ride and she couldn’t ride because of the weather. This time he wants her to take as much advantage of the weather as she can since she loves to ride. So…we went back to Russ Hayes and got her a new helmet and a Kona Makena 6 speed in a white and aquamarine.
