There was a lot of bloodshed today: Tammy, Miranda and I all donated.
As you can tell from my sticker, it was my first time ever. Better late than never, amirite? Miranda went into full badger mode after her first time, goading us into making an appointment. 😜 I chose the path of least resistance.
It was down at the Shriner’s Centre by the river. It wasn’t too busy and it didn’t take too long. Maria was the woman who drew my blood. I didn’t have any dizziness or anything so I guess it all went well. Wasn’t too bad.
Afterwards, we went into Bowness to pick up some pizza at Red Swan’s and I picked up my bike. Bow Cycle replaced my front shifter, front and rear disc rotors and rear brake pads. All ready for more long rides! Hopefully I won’t have to climb huge hills in the big ring now.
What are the arm bands?
That’s the new “tape” they put on afterwards. It’s completely ouchless and it gives a little compression. They’ve been using it for a while. It’s called CoFlex.
