๐ŸŽ„ Merry Christmas 2015 ๐ŸŽ

It was a cold -19 when we got up this snowy Christmas morning (it’s now a balmy -14).

Here’s the tree pre-unwrapping:

Here are the stockings being opened:

Everything has been opened and now we’re enjoying the calm of the post-unwrapping frenzy. ๐Ÿ˜€ ย We managed to Skype with Dad and Carol for a short while, but the connection was a bit choppy, so we’re going to try again tomorrow. ย We also Facetimed with Stephanie, Bri, and Zach. ย We got to see all of their loot. Later we’ll be talking with Nana and Grandpa.

Ian is feeling much better, but our turkey dinner will be happening tomorrow. ย Today it’ll be leftovers of Indian, meatballs, and pasta. I also made some chelsea monkey bread because we plowed through our mincemeat prior to Christmas.

Thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful gifts. Future posts to let you know what was purchased with the money and gift cards.

I think the photo that deserves a bit of explanation isย the poster. As Tammy posted to Facebook:

Now I know why my daughter texted me at work last week with the question: Who are your top10 fav actors? (Can you name them all?)

This was a project by Miranda. I helped a bit, but she did all of the work. She has learned how to use photo-editing software at school. They use Photoshop there, but we have Pixelmator at home. She found high-quality pictures of the top 10 list that Tammy gave her, and arranged them into a poster. The printing was courtesy of Staples copy and print shop. Tammy had a good laugh.

  1. Lovely photos of your Christmas tree and gifts! Merry Christmas and warm hugs from Mexico๐Ÿ˜

  2. It was nice to talk to everyone today. In some ways today was a normal Christmas: the morning routine, getting a family board game and playing it, Lego everywhere, but in others it was very strange. Not having a “Christmas dinner” was weird, but I know I was so full from all the munching today that I didn’t miss it. Who says that eating nachos and watching “Ant-Man” isn’t a good way to have a family dinner on the 25th? ๐Ÿ˜„

I am really enjoying my new watch band. It’s completely comfortable, and will look more professional than the neon green one around the office.

Looking forward to the dinner tomorrow, and getting back to a normal routine.

  3. Hope your dinner today was a worth the extra day of waiting, this way tomorrow will be left over day. Enjoyed all the pictures you sent ( so what is the story behind all the pictures?) Mom has had a couple of good days, and she enjoyed having Button, Sandy, Stephanie and the kids here today. I made a light lunch and they all stayed for 2 hours, but that was about it for Mom. Any plans for New Years? Talk to you before then. Dad
