This morning, Miranda and I drove down to Bow Cycle together to take part in the Sunday club ride. She had asked to try it out, and today was the day.
Eighteen riders set out, including five ladies. Miranda did really good, but she has lots of room to improve, too. When we got up to Rocky Ridge (and most of the climbing was done), we split up into two groups, because there was an obvious split in the cycling capabilities. The faster riders headed off along Township Road 262 towards Cochrane, while I led the “B” group on a twisty, interesting course closer to Calgary.
We went through the Bearspaw Golf Course and into the Blueridge area, before riding the path along the rim of the Twelve Mile Coulee and back to the shop. It was a nice ride and we still did over 42 kilometers at a more relaxed pace.
Sounds like you had a good time. Congratulations on your ride Miranda.
Looks like a nice day for your first BCC ride, Miranda๐ดโโ๏ธ
And now she’s signed up for the club (at her request). Tonight is the ladies ride, assuming the weather holds.
