A Painful Commute

If I’d had my laptop with me this morning instead of locking it up in the office overnight, when I saw the crowd of people on the C-Train platform, I would have just stayed on the bus and returned home.

A pedestrian was struck by the train just east of downtown, and that had the trains all backed up. I waited for a while on the crowded platform, then managed to get standing room on the first train. It was then a long, stuffy, tiring ride downtown, with lots of delays. Took about an hour and a half. A woman on my car fainted, which added to the delays. She was all right, but she did get off at SAIT/Jubilee station to sit down and get some air.

Unfortunate series of circumstances, hopefully not happening too frequently.
