A Stone for Nana

In the week since I returned home from Victoria, it’s become clear to me that the kids are putting a brave face on about Nana’s death. From time to time, things have broken through, but without any way to express it.

So today, the kids and I did some gardening and cleaned out the “empty” planter. I was going to plant the Victoria Hospice Memory Heart I was given. I thought that Miranda would like a chance to do something creative as a way to express herself. I asked her to decorate a rock that we could put near the Heart, where (hopefully) the flowers will bloom. She did a lovely job.

When Tammy got back from work and a bit of shopping, we went out and placed the stone and planted the card.
