Beating the Bulge

I’ve finally decided to make public my battle with the bulge. I read an article in the Telegraph a while back that discussed the difference between the sexes when it comes to keeping the losing weight resolution. It says that men just need to set (realistic) goals in order to have greater weight loss success. Women, on the other hand, need to make these goals public not just establish them.

So here it goes, once I reach:

  • 150 pounds (not far off):
  • <%image(20080208-clog3.jpg|193|177|)%>
  • 140 pounds:
  • <%image(20080208-tankini.jpg|250|250|)%>
  • 130-135 pounds (ha!):
  • <%image(20080208-leather_pants.jpg|216|270|)%>

Now it takes great nerve for me to tell the world what I weigh (so no cracks from the peanut gallery). 😀 I’m rather disconcerted by it, but then I’m still breast feeding, so I can’t go nuts in weight loss just yet. I should take comfort that I’m over 30 pounds lighter than just after giving birth and my doc says I’m looking good.
