Christmas Lights Up!

Not quite the same level of accomplishment as Evan’s, but I’m happy to get it out of the way, regardless. 😉 This was the first year that I put them up on my own. Compared to last year, I didn’t put up the two strings along the back of the house. They were just a real pain to put up and take down. Maybe I’ll think of something to do with those extra strings. I figure next year I’ll make the switch to LED lights. I also cleaned out the gutters while I was up there. I should be ready for the winter storms now.

  1. Can you ever be "really Done" putting up Christmas lights.. muahh ha ha ha. I’m almost done. Just have to take down the fence panels install a few Candles and fix an FM Transmission problem…

No problem with only 5 days left…. ahhhhhhh

  2. Never mind, I’m not trying to create a tear in the space-time continuum with the hyper-spinning of the little disc in my BC Hydro box. 😉 I figure next year I’ll get a little creative, once I’ve got some of the LED lights to cut down on BC Hydro siphoning my bank account dry.

  3. We weren’t really impressed with the colour of the LED as they look rather dull compared to the older lights that we had now have gone back to them. For the price we paid for the LED and turned around and sold them in a yard sale for an out. I guess as we get older sometimes old is good too!

  4. The Consumer LEDs aren’t very good, yet. I purchased some commercial grade ones and was very pleased this year and was very very pleased that I could put more lights on one circuit because the little that they draw…

I noticed Costco had some C9 style ones that had 3 LEDs inside each light which is very close to what I have.

I just can’t believe how )#&(@&* lights are this year. I’m glad i bought them when I did and I think I’ll be going in on the big Bulk buy through the PC forum in April of 08′
