If the residents of Calgary ever put together our family’s arrival here in June 2013 and the bad string of luck the city’s been having since, there might be torches and pitchforks at our front door.

This time, it is an electrical control station fire, which happened over the weekend downtown. It was an underground facility in the northwest part of downtown, and it knocked power out for about 20 blocks, including my office and Tammy’s school. They say they are on track to get power up by Thursday, so I will be working from home until then.
