Everybody’s Home!

We just got home, all four of us. Tammy and Ian got out of the hospital today, so we’re home after a stop at Walmart for a couple of odds and ends and a short visit with Mom and Dad. Miranda fell asleep in the car on the way home so she’s still in there, and I’m typing this one-handed with Ian snoozing in the other arm.

Miscellaneous notes:

  • There were 40 babies born while we were in the hospital: 11 Friday, 11 Saturday, 7 Sunday and 11 Monday
  • Ian lost quite a bit of weight, dropping from 9 lbs 12 down to 8 lbs 15, but Tammy’s milk is in now
  • It’s supposed to be warm tomorrow. Maybe Tammy should have stayed in the air-conditioned hospital 😉
  • Man, it’s a lot of hard work keeping this place together while Tammy’s been away, like a juggler keeping all the plates spinning. I’ve always appreciated what Tammy does around here, but now even moreso. ❤️

More notes:

  • We spent most of Friday and into the wee hours on Saturday in Delivery Room #2, until we were kicked out at about 2:30 in the morning
  • We spent the rest of the night in the same antepartum room as we were in when we were waiting for Miranda’s induction
  • I’m not sure, but I think it was the other operating room this time, because Tammy was oriented the opposite way on the table, unless they changed they way they do things since Miranda was born
  • Tammy stayed in 304B in Mother and Babe this time, last time it was 305B

  1. Again Congratulations. Glad to hear all are home and well now. Hope everything is slowly falling into place.

Now Tammy just has to point and tell you what she needs. Remember she’s still on the mend now….

Enjoy time at home with your family. It will fly by!!!
