Finally It’s Our Turn

Today is our turn to get dug up for the sewer pipes.

They started around 7:30 this morning. The surprising thing is that the rumbling, crashing, and house-shaking didn’t wake Miranda up. It must be the Dimetapp we gave her before bed.

I’m hoping they’ll have it done and all filled in by the time Simon gets home. Right now noone can drive down Amethyst because the street has been dug up from side to side. They’re supposed to dig right up the side of our house to the septic tank. I hope there’s enough room for the equipment. More news later.

I’ll be posting some more pics later on.

Update

Okay here are the pics (not all from today, first 6 are from the 10th).

Update’s Update

He’s what our ditch looks like now. Apparently, there will be someone coming around next week to pretty up the rockery that was destroyed. At least they flattened out the fill. For a time there, they had it filled to road level. That would’ve been just super when the rains hit this weekend.

  1. That’s what I was think’in…Better hope that they fix it back to the way you had it.

Where did all the rocks go? Bye bye??? You should have told them then and there to just fill it in. Hey maybe you can rip down to the hardware store and order some good size drain pipe then when they come to pretty it back up again you can just ask them to fill it in…..

    Just a thought…
