We are still here and dry. I took the day off. Tammy’s interview was postponed until next week due to the situation, but that’s about the only impact on us.

We’re keeping our eyes on the news, but I don’t expect anything to change at our house. I just heard on the TV that the Deerfoot Trail could end up getting washed out. That would be a significant development: that’s the major north-south link to Edmonton.

Nothing to report. Just laying low. I’m beginning to question what Monday will bring.

The sun is poking its face out. Hasn’t rained in a while. The kids have been outside both before and now after dinner. The news is reporting that the river is starting to go down a bit. It will be a while before normalcy returns to downtown, but there is now hope.

It’s a lazy morning. I managed to feed the kids, clean up the kitchen and organize my email while keeping an eye on the news. Most of the news is good, but it sounds like the downtown core won’t have power until mid-next week. I guess I’ll be working from home for a few days.

Still blessedly uneventful here. The kids have been playing outdoors with Tallia and Ellie for most of the day. I got word from work that out building was not flooded, but it doesn’t look like there will be non-essential access to downtown until mid-week.
