Fun at Riley Water Spray Park

This afternoon we took the kids to a local spray park for something to do.  Simon had taken the day off work in lieu of his traditional Summer Fridays.  After taking the family portrait and getting this new site up and running, the To-Do list was getting smaller, so we decided to go out and do something fun like take the kids to a park we haven’t been to before.

We packed up the umbrella, a blanket, some snacks and drinks, and books for us to read (from which we read very little). The spray park is small, but it has a playground attached to it and nice public washrooms. It’s not far from downtown in the NE.  It wasn’t too busy when we arrived a little after 3 and by 4.30 it was nearly dead.

  1. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so. Not that many more opportunities to do that before Miranda feels too “old” to play in the spray park. The best part was watching them play “chicken” with the buckets of water.

    1. I love the Maxine, Simon. Very thoughtful! The park looked like fun, and cooling! Thanks for pickies!

  2. We could of used a spray park here today but we don’t have enough water on Pender…looks like fun!!!

    1. Glad you had fun, Miranda! Mom and I had great fun watching you and Ian play, especially the tippy buckets. You were a lot cooler than we were under the umbrella.
