Tammy was talking with Dr. Sadiq this afternoon about filling her inhaler prescription and she mentioned this situation with Ian. Let’s just say things kicked into overdrive from that point.

First: we’ve not been as diligent about isolating (from each other, from the world) as we should have. The instructions from the school were not clear, but apparently, Ian should not have even been coming out of his room except for going to the bathroom. We should not have been going for walks. We should not have been going shopping (even with precautions).

Second: Tammy and Ian are getting COVID tests tonight. Apparently, it’s a drive through thing. More on that experience later. Ian as the person who might have been exposed and Tammy as a person at risk (i.e. asthma).

As for the rest, until the tests come back it’s going to be weird around here. I hope Ian is okay. πŸ’™

That didn’t take long: Tammy and Ian’s results came in this afternoon. Both negative. Ian’s released from his room. 🍾

  1. There were quite a few people lined up (in cars) to be tested. I would estimate around 50 cars. The whole thing took place in a big drive through warehouse. The had 3 rows of 4 vehicles. The nurse took down your particulars then have you the choice of either a nasal or a throat swab. Ian shows the throat swab and I chose the nasal swab. I had never had a nasal swab, so I wanted to see what it was like. Well it was painful. It was a bristly brush coated in something that stings and they jam it in the back of your nose and scrape away. We should have Ian’s results in half a day or so and mine in 2 to 5 days. Fingers crossed that both are negative.
