Tonight I crossed the 25,000 word mark in NaNoWriMo. I will end up with more than 50,000 by month’s end (barring sickness or injury), but it’s nice to mark it symbolically. Tammy and I are doing our 12th NaNoWriMo this year. Every November since 2008 we’ve been doing this. It wouldn’t be November without it.

So, if you were wondering why it’s been a little quiet on the site, that’s my excuse.

Miranda has handed in her application to International Baccalaureate, and now I guess we wait to see if she is accepted. She got her first high school report card today, and it’s straight A’s so I don’t think it should be much of an issue. We’re very proud of her.

Work’s been a bit of a struggle lately. I’ve gotten into a project that should have been only a couple days of my time back in September, but now it’s two months later and the asks are bigger, not smaller. And it figures that in the middle of November when I’m sitting down to write for a couple of hours each night, I’m writing documents at work like they are going out of style. Sure hope I don’t end up with RSI’s this month.

The new hosting on Linode has been going amazingly well from my point of view.. Should have done it years ago.
