Happy Father’s Day to All

Today we’re taking dad to Calaway Park for a (whole/part) day of amusement park fun. It’s a sunny day with a light wind. perfect for walking around, seeing the sight, or having the living daylights scared out of you. 😀

Update

We managed to stay there for nearly 3 hours. We showed up just after it opened (the best time to go). We started out slowly with the rides. Ian and Simon went on an old-time cars ride where Ian “drove” around while Simon was the passenger. Miranda and I went on the bumper cars. She loved that and had to go again with Simon. Then we walked around. Ian and I went on a seemingly innocent ride that turned out to be more thrilling than I had expected. It was the Samba Spin. Meanwhile Miranda and Simon went in search of the roller coaster and took in another ride along the way.
We stopped after 12 for a “lunch” of popcorn and water. We didn’t want to fill up on much in case we saw it again on a future ride. After a few more rides we decided that we’d had enough (we being Simon and myself).
