Ian’s 14th birthday was almost two weeks ago, but today was the first day that we could arrange for his two friends Josh and Joey to come over for a party. It was a low-key affair, but it still felt like a major event for two of his friends to be over in our house. They arrived at noon (both on their bikes) and they played ping pong and explored Ian’s room for a bit while Tammy was barbecuing. She made Korean BBQ skewers with naan bread and Caesar salad. I know, what a mix! But everybody loved it.
Afterwards the boys played on the Xbox most of the afternoon, blowing each other up in Halo. They played Flight Simulator for a bit, but that was mostly guffaws of laughter as they crashed.
Around 4:15 they finally got around to watching The Meg and Tammy made popcorn.
It was a good party and they all had fun. It was a cool, cloudy day with rain showers so staying indoors was a good idea.
Glad they could get together and have some fun.
