Last Bujutsu Class

And the last of the “last of” entries that mark this section of the ii News… last night was my last bujutsu class with Jackson and company. It was a great class, and I as with all of the things that are being interrupted indefinitely by this move to Calgary, it’s a disappointment.

It was almost ten years ago, not long after moving out to Sooke, that I found Jackson’s class and started attending. There were interruptions in the classes as it moved from location to location without a permanent dojo, and then a long interruption when Jackson headed off to Afghanistan. Just this month, the Ookami Gakko (school) took up its new home in Jackson’s garage, and that was a great change. With my foot doing well, and the kids not going to CBK, I managed to attend a number of classes this month. The other current students (Robin and Shannon) are lots of fun and I really enjoyed the month.

I’m pissed that I didn’t get the diagnosis on my foot for a year: I missed out on a lot of fun, even if it did get me on my bike, which I enjoy.
