It was one of those days. Those days when you recharge, and retreat into a state where you’re not worrying about the world, and just relaxing.

Today, I proposed to Tammy and Miranda that we have a movie marathon. Unlike some of the previous ones like watching all of the Lord of the Rings, or multiple X-Men movies, this one was… romantic movies. A couple of weeks ago when we were driving around, Miranda asked me if I liked romantic stories or adventure stories better. That led to a discussion about whether or not men liked romantic stories, because none of the boys at school did. So, I put forward the suggestion as a way to demonstrate to her that at least one man in her life (me) enjoys them.

So I put out a list of possible movies, and asked they each pick one, or provide another. Tammy picked from the list: When Harry Met Sally… and Miranda suggested her own: 50 First Dates. I also picked from the list: Pretty Woman.

We started the movies at lunch with 50 First Dates. It was good, and Ian enjoyed it too. Then we watched When Harry Met Sally… and Ian wandered off to do his own thing. Last of all was Pretty Woman, which ended around seven.

It was fun. They were all good movies. And there was Monkey Bread.
