Tammy crossed the line yesterday (50,000 words), and tonight I put in 4,700 words to see “The End” on my screen. It’s not usual that I finish my book in the month, let alone a day early. The conversation at dinner tonight was:
- Tammy was glad to be done
- We have a Rocky Road ice cream cake from Abbey’s to celebrate the end of Nano, but
- Dad’s not done yet.
I had a clear idea of how I wanted to finish the book, so I buckled down (skipped my Zwift workout ride) and wrote for about three and a half hours.
Yay us!
Congratulations Tammy and Simon!!!
It was a tough slog this time around. It has been a busy month at work and I will admit my heart wasn’t really in it this year (not like Simon skipping a 🚴♂️ to complete it). Hopefully, next year will be better. 🙃
