We’re thinking that Miranda is sick, but we aren’t 100% sure. She has been sick once before, but she was under 6 months old. This time it started out at rubbing the nose, sneezing, and a dry cough. Now she’s a little snottier, not overly congested, with running eyes and a sight temperature, but no fever.
I stayed home yesterday to observe in case it was a cold; I didn’t want to infect Zach or anyone else. When she didn’t seem to get any worse I thought it was allergies or hayfever because, despite all these symptoms, she seemed chipper. That’s why we went to Stephanie’s “daycare” today, but she said that Miranda got progressively worse as the day wore on and would rather not risk it. So tomorrow I’m staying home. I hope work can find a sub to do my class.
Overall she is happy, except in the eves and overnight. Her sleeping is broken, but her appetite seems fine. She’s drinking a lot more juice. I’m giving her some Tylenol and Triaminic cold drops. They seem to work.
She’s also teething because her cheeks are bright red. I don’t know if teething can produce these other symptoms. I hope all is well by Monday. I’d hate to have to deal with this on my own as Simon will be in Toronto for the week. (At least someone will get some sleep. :p)
Sorry Miranda is not well. Take good care of your munchkin.
