While you might think of Calgary as being snowy in the winter, we don’t usually get a lot of snow. It just arrives and sticks around until a Chinook blows it away.

Last night, though, we got a fair bit of snow.

The hosts on CBC radio this morning were equating it to the 1998 St. Patrick’s Day snowstorm. Once Ian and I got back from our walk down to take his photo (more on that later) and we helped Tammy finish the driveway, a woman in a Ford Escape got stuck in the snowbank at the end of our driveway. I had a meeting to get to, so Tammy and the kids started helping her and I joined in when the call was done. She had all wheel drive and good winter tires and that wasn’t enough to get up our street.

We ain’t goin’ anywhere today. ❄️
