It’s taken a couple of weeks, but the Lego’s sorted.

As with all stupid things, it started with noble intentions. After I put together my Galaxy Explorer, I wanted to put together Benny’s Spaceship. But when I pulled out the bins of Lego from Ian’s room, it was a complete disaster. Imagine 20,000 to 30,000 (estimated) Lego pieces, unsorted in multiple bins.

I started sorting and Tammy pitched in.

The chaos of the first attempt

But dinner came and along with it the realization of the scope of the problem. The next day I got more organized, bringing up the worktable and setting things out better.

Much more comfortable. Still hard on the neck, though.

We put up with half our bonus room being occupied by Lego for two weeks, but today I finished the last of the sorting. Everything is in bins, and ready to build stuff.

The only problem is, at the moment I really don’t want to look at Lego. My fingers are sore from prying bits apart.

Maybe next weekend I’ll feel like reaping the rewards of my efforts.
