Thanksgiving Weekend

In the middle of everything that’s going on, Mother Nature chose to throw us a beautiful weekend with summer-like temperatures.

Saturday was a little chilly to start, but it was a nice day for a ride to Cochrane and sitting in the sunshine with a coffee and a treat.

Ryan, Phil, Brenda and Perry at Good Earth.

Sunday was turkey day, and it was even nicer. We ate our main course inside but then moved outside for having our dessert. Tammy made a pumpkin pie square and apple tarts. Miranda made some cookies with icing and decorations. The sky was incredibly blue with the golden leaves still on the trees.

Monday was just about as nice, and I decided that if it was going to be the last nice weekend before the weather changed, I would take advantage of it. I’d originally signed up to do a virtual ride, but I decided to take on a “someday” ride instead. There is a series of pathways that roughly outline Calgary called the Rotary Mattamy Greenway. The whole circumnavigation of the city is something like 135 km, but I just did the north half (86 km). Someday I’ll do the south half and maybe the whole thing. The morning was beautiful.
