Trampoline Birthday Party

Today was Ian’s birthday party with his friends from school. Tammy made up invitations for him to give out in June, giving a date and a time, with the activity to be determined. Each year, Ian has missed out on a birthday party because he didn’t have any contact information for his friends, and he doesn’t see them in the summer. Ian chose a party at the Extreme Air Park, the same place Ilia had his earlierย this year. The place is partitioned into party rooms, and Tammy was able to set up early.

It wasn’t that busy, which probably is to be expected in the summer. Everyone had lots of room to bounce.

Even Tammy got in on the act.

The party had an allocation of 8 guests, and since Ian only invited four boys and three accepted, that gave us space for Miranda to invite her friend Farida, and for us to invite Sepideh and her son Ilia.

Ian’s choice of cake was chocolate marshmallow. We followed a recipe off the Internet for the marshmallow filling, and went with our scratch cake and icing recipes. Ben voted the cake “ten times ten good”.

Afterwards, Ian opened his presents. They only gave us 45 minutes in the room, so there was no time for dawdling.

All in all, it went well. I even managed to show up, coming directly from my bike ride in Turner Valley.
