We’re Not Here to Rob You

Last week, the CDC and Health Canada both changed their message: homemade masks will help reduce the spread of COVID-19. They don’t protect you when you’re wearing one: they protect others on the off chance that you are carrying and spreading without realizing it. When Tammy went shopping this week, she noted that about 2/3 of the people in Superstore were wearing some form of mask.

There were a couple of different sewing patterns that came up in my Twitter feed, and I forwarded them to Tammy. Yes, you read that right: I was sharing sewing patterns with Tammy. One of them came with a Cricut pattern so she started cutting out fabric. Today, she and I were downstairs, sewing. She is much more capable at it than I am, so she got ahead a step or two and was able to give me some guidance as I worked. That’s the first time I’ve sewed since grade eight home ec.

What do you think? Are the cartoon animals over the top?

😁

I am off to pick up some Chinese food right now. And I am going to feel very self-conscious. 🤦‍♂️
