Back to back sleepovers, bicycle races

This weekend, Tammy, Stephanie and I did a kids’ sleepover swap: Miranda and Ian slept over there on Friday night, and Zach and Bri came our way Saturday night. After we dropped the kids off, Tammy and I went downtown and had dinner at Japanese Village. When we don’t have the kids, we try to make a point of eating someplace that they don’t like. 🙂 Last time it was Thai food, this time yummy yummy Japanese.

Tammy picked our kids up Saturday morning, and I picked Zach and Brianna up after Miranda’s karate class in the afternoon. The kids had fun. In the afternoon, Braiden from next door came over looking for Miranda and Ian to come play in his newly-finished play structure. He got more than he bargained on as all four cousins came over and played with him.

They had lots of fun.

Sunday was open. We had options, and I pushed for us to go downtown to watch some of the bicycle races. That’s what we did, and we were there in time to see the kids’ races. Miranda says she wants to try that next year.
