End of Nanowrimo 2023

Tammy and I managed to pull through and finish Nano for another year! 🥳

Tammy fell behind early in the month, but managed to pull back even and finish with a day to spare. I continued with my “steady as she goes” pacing. I find that typing four elite (12 cpi) pages per day works out to about 1750 to 1800 words, which just slowly builds me a buffer over the 1667 needed to reach 50,000 words.

As you can see in the graphs: I started the month with more wildly varying word counts, but then settled in. There were a lot of days where there really weren’t enough hours in the day, and having the “four pages” target really put a box around it.

I didn’t type “The End” yet, but I’ve left it in a good spot for picking up. My script to turn pages into pictures and OCR text worked like a charm.
