A few things of note to post today: the first is that Tammy remembered to measure the kids this morning. We try to do it on their birthdays, but we’re a few days late this year. Ian’s about an inch taller, and Miranda’s almost two inches taller. The significant thing is Miranda is almost as tall as Tammy now: just 1.8 cm shorter.
It’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that sometime between now and Christmas, she’ll overtake as the second-tallest in the family.
Also today, the kids and I met up with Miranda’s friend Elijah, his dad Gilad and his sister Sophie at Calaway Park. We had fun there for a couple of hours. There weren’t that many people there at 10 am, and it was just starting to get too hot by 12. The only casualty was my hat: I lost it on the log ride.
