Ian Graces the TdV Home Page

Last night, when I was talking to Dad on FaceTime, he asked about when the Tour de Victoria is next year, since we usually time our trip to visit him around it. We looked it up, and it turns out it is August 22nd. But it was this evening when I popped up Safari and I wasn’t really doing anything that I stopped and said “what the?”

Who’s that cool cat on the right?

I thought that was pretty neat.

In other Ian news, he and I finished reading The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan this evening. That’s the third book in the series finished. We started in June 2018, so we’re working at a rate of about 6 months per book. They are pretty long books.

In my post when we started, I speculated whether or not I could read through the books faster in French or aloud with Ian. It turns out that Ian and I reading is faster by a fair margin. It is very curious, because I kept ahead for the first book, which was a French paperback. But then I switched to Kindle for the second book and the wheels fell off about halfway through. Once Ian and I were “ahead” on the English read-aloud by a quarter of a book, I think I gave up. Technically, I am starting Chapter 26 of La Grande QuΓͺte, a full book and a half behind. Yay to Ian and me! Boo to me! 😝

On to The Shadow Rising!
