Today we dropped Miranda off with Carol at the Broadmead Village in Royal Oak. Carol had just finished her weekend shift of in-home care and was heading back to Pender Island, where Colin was. Miranda’s off to visit them and explore Pender Island until Friday. This started last week, when Carol phoned and made the offer to take Miranda. They’d talked about it for years, having Miranda for a visit when she was old enough. And now she is. Since the invitation, we had our illness issues, so we weren’t sure if she was going to go or not, but she seems to be healthy except for allergies, so off she went.
I wonder how she will cope? She’s had a couple of sleepovers at Katya’s house, but this is a long time. We’ll call her every night and ask her what she did that day.
