New Desk and Shelves for Ian

Tammy asked me what I planned on doing today. Miranda was off at her day-long babysitting child safe course and she wanted to know what I wanted to fill Saturday with. I settled on finally giving Ian’s room some storage. Miranda has a big desk and lots of shelves in her room, but Ian has always just made do with a small bookshelf and some wire cubbies in his closet. So it’s never a surprise that his room is always a mess with toys on the floor.

But the question of shelves always led to the question of a desk. It wouldn’t make sense to put shelves in, only to have them torn down when we needed to put a desk in. So we did both.

After we rode over to the Scenic Acres Community Centre to pick up Miranda and cycled back home, we got in the car and went to Ikea. We brought home the desk, a chair, two bookcases and an under-bed storage box (not pictured). Tammy and I put them together, and now Ian’s room looks like a million bucks.

He then asked me if when he’s old enough if he could have a MacBook Pro for his desk. It was a good desk for a computer. His words, I swear! 😉

  2. I like your new desk, Ian…the colour is really nice!
Rojo is one of the most popular colours in Mexico.
