Tammy and the kids went to Walmart this afternoon, and in short, the fan belt started to shred itself. We’d taken the car in for a service in the last couple of weeks so this was unexpected. The car is at Knibbe Automotive waiting to be looked at tomorrow.

Better than having this happen while halfway to Victoria in a heat wave, amirite?

Updated

We heard back from Knibbe, and it’s a broken tension spring that is leading to the serpentine belt eating itself. $822 to fix, but more importantly, it should be done today. 🤞
