On the cusp of Spring Break

Sort of silly, really, but this year I get Spring Break for the first time since… I was at University? The kids are off school next week (actually, off today with a Pro-D day) and this year marks my 10th at Esri Canada, so I’m up to four weeks’ vacation. With Tammy working, I requested the week off to look after the kids. Tammy wasn’t sure she could get the week off, but at the moment it seems certain.

So there weren’t big plans, but I am hoping to go by myself to Victoria for a couple of days to see Mom and Dad. I say “hoping”, because I have been sick with some sort of a head cold since last Saturday and still trying to shake it. The good news is my voice is better today. It has been little more than a bass rumble since Monday. Hopefully, I have turned the corner on this thing. Then it’s a matter of the weather. It’s been warm and dry for weeks, and now that I’m planning a road trip, it’s snowing. The snow isn’t staying here, but I imagine it is in the mountains.  We’ll have to keep an eye on my health and the weather both.
