So today my Sister, the kids, and I trekked up to Nanaimo. We left at about 8:30ish and arrived in Nanaimo just after 10 AM. The kids were great both going up and coming down. Why go all the way to Nanaimo?? Well Auntie Ang wanted to take the kids to the Nanaimo Aquatic Center.
It was a blast we stayed there for about 2 hours and we’re good and wrinkled by the time we decided to leave. There was lots to do, Wave pool, 3 water slides, an area that pushed you through the channel by forcing water along, a big boat to climb on…. All in all a good time had by all. A stop at the Golden arches for lunch and then a nice drive home with Brianna sleeping for a good hour until we hit Duncan where traffic came to a crawl. Hopefully some day they’ll make that road better…

Neat! That slide out of the boat looks like it would be fun. The problem (at the moment) with going to JDF or Saanich Commonwealth is that Miranda’s not tall enough for them to let her on the waterslide. They don’t let you go doubles with small kids any more. She’s got a bit of growing to do before she’s 48 inches.
Yeah what’s interesting about that shot is that the Slide out of the boat isn’t there anymore and it’s just the three waterslides off to the right.
Zachary was too scared to go on them so we never ventured up to the slides he had enough fun just on the wave pool and the rapid movement pool…
