Winter Hits in Earnest

As I arrived in Calgary last night, the bus drove into a snowstorm. Calgary was hit by quite a bit of snow, and today is a deep freeze. Here are a few pictures to let you know what things are like.

But I understand things got a little hairy behind us somewhere…

  1. Good grief!! Glad it was behind you. We got a skiff of snow here. Nothing stuck to the roads but was some ice.

  2. You win! As Stephanie says I’m glad that pile-up was behind you! We had about 3/4″ of snow here last night. But the good thing is that it finally got cold enough and windy enough with it to get most of the leaves down from the walnut trees. It is a mess but they are mostly down.[not right english]. I called Bill Barber on Thursday to see if he had time to clear away the leaves next week and he said yes [business – not a favour]. I seem to have lost more hair and am finding my head is colder the last couple of days so I am wearing my hat more. That’s all for now. ‘Glad you arrived safely. Mom
