Happy St. Patrick’s Day

It’s mid-March, and that means everyone’s a bit Irish today. With Miranda off to Ireland in a month and a half, perhaps she and Tammy can be forgiven for celebrating with more gusto this year. Miranda baked a loaf of Irish Soda bread, and Tammy made a Guinness beef stew and a sticky toffee pudding. There was leftover Guinness from the cooking to enjoy in the glass, too.

In the morning, I headed out for my first outdoor ride of the year with the club. The weather has been nice and getting nicer every day. Club President Mark posted “a super-fun pathway ride” and you know I had to sign up. So did about 25 others. We had a big group. We split into three groups so that we weren’t a menace on the pathway.

The route was following the Bow River pathway past downtown and as far as we could go in an hour before turning around and coming back. There was some ice here and there, but nobody in my group had any issues. I got to try out my new GoPro camera that I bought with the Christmas money from Dad.

This is just a 720p version of one of the 4k videos I took today.

And to top it all off, we watched the 1959 classic movie Darby O’Gill and the Little People. Tammy got to experience Sean Connery singing. 🍀

And Dad’s in the hospital again. Fell again.
