Today’s post-karate task was picking up some rhododendron bushes. We all went to Home Depot and found some there on sale for $4.49 each. We picked up just five, because we didn’t really have a plan or a feel for how it would go. Between the weeding of the slope up to Lorri and Chris’ and digging five holes and planting the bushes, it was enough for an afternoon. Depending on the weather, we may go back and purchase five more bushes tomorrow. They aren’t very big right now, and they look pretty ridiculous spaced the way they are, but in a few years I hope the spacing works out. It would be great if they ended up like Mom and Dad’s two bushes in the front of their house. They’re enormous!

Regardless, the slope looks much better now that it’s weeded. The back remains to be done.
