We’re Out and Homeless

Thank goodness for Mom and Dad. Today is the day when we lost possession of our house on Amethyst Way. There are two full weeks now to wait for possession of our beautiful new home in Calgary. We are spending a week and a half at their house, and then travelling to wait another week in a hotel in Calgary.

I’ll post more later, but the short version: Jim and his son James packed us up on the 14th and 15th. Those were very stressful days, as both Tammy and I were trying to remember the things we had to keep out for our “homeless” stretch. Yesterday (the 16th) was the loading, with Troy, Trevor and Tom packing us into three containers.

Today was a simple day: finishing the cleaning and dropping off the key. The weather was Sooke-typical, so that was fitting. Zachary was with us, and he took this picture:
