I don’t know about you, but I was really ready for a long weekend right about now. And the fun continues: I’m taking next Friday off, so it’s a three-day week. 🫢
There wasn’t a lot happening this weekend. Miranda worked on Saturday and Sunday, and Ian had a sleepover at Josh’s house on Friday night. There were the usual set of virtual bike rides thanks to the continuing winter weather. This was the first year where we did not colour eggs or hunt for them. There was a general sense of apathy from the kids and Tammy was worried that the new cats would find all the eggs in the night and bat them all over the place. It was easier to just put together some little baskets of chocolates and leave them for the kids to discover.
Easter dinner was Sunday night: a ham with fixings. Tammy made cupcakes. When I was out and getting a few groceries, I bought Tammy a nice bouquet of flowers that the cats found very interesting.
